Adding Sitemeter in a Blog.

According to Sitemeter,

With our detailed reporting you'll have a clear picture of who is visiting your site, how they found you, where they came from, what interests them and much more.

 

So it's time to install it.But I would suggest Google Analytic or Statcounter as they are used by millions of People.Sometimes statcounter or other may made mistake while tracking so it better to install more than two web tracking.So if want to install sitemeter in a Blog then here is a Tutorial

Registering at Sitemeter.

At first we need to sign up or Register at sitemeter.Here is how to register at sitemeter.

1. Go to sitemeter sign up page from here.
2. Select free or as your wish.
3. In site URL insert your Blog URL.
4. In your sitemeter name enter your Blog name.
5. In codename enter the secret code which you want to make your sitemeter username,
6. In current Time adjust your Time as in your country.
7. Click on check box to agree with sitemeter privacy ....
8. At last click on Save button.
9. Now you will face a new page where you have to enter easy formality like entering username,Title,Postal codes etc.
10. After entering click on next.
11. After you can see summary of account where check all information are correct or not.
12. Finally click on next  in which you will receive registration confirmation.
13. Now go to your Email you can see sitemeter username and password.

Getting HTML codes.

1. Now go to sitemeter and sign in at there if necessary.
2. Go to manager tabs.
3. Click on HTML codes which is at left.
4. Copy those codes.Copy JavaScript if Blogger.If word press copy regular HTML.
   

Installing sitemeter.

At Blogger.

• Go to Blogger Dashboard>layout
• Click on add a gadget.
• Select HTML/JavaScript
• Paste the Sitemeter JavaScript codes.
• Click on Orange Save Button.
• Drag that widget below main Post for better performance.

At WordPress

• Go to WordPress Admin Area/Dashboard>Appearance>Available widget.
• Drag text to sidebar.
• Copy the sitemeter code .
• Click on Save.

Now check your report of Your Blog at sitemeter and think how to improve your Blog.
