How to tell Spiders not to index Archive Page?

Prevent Duplicate content from indexing and Archiving By Spiders.But why?The content of Archive are duplicate of post.When Spiders crawl they page they think that you are creating duplicate content and your PR will not juice but goes down.As we know the importance of PR.If spider index your page you will get penalized without any reason.So the solution is to Block the Archive from Indexing by Search Engines.The problem is faced by Blogger's only.If you want to Block then use this idea.

  1. Go to Blogger Dashboard(New Interface)
  2. Go to Setting>Search preferences
  3. Click on Edit of "Custom robots header" tags.
  4. Tick on noindex and noarchive of Archive and Search Pages as in picture.

  5. Finally click on "Save Changes".
